Our class sizes are small and will normally accommodate several grades. Exact number of classes and sizes will be determined based on enrollment.
We use an app called Brightwheel for all school communication. This is also where your child will be checked in and checked out daily.
We are located in Go Church at 2300 24th Ave S.W., Norman, OK 73072. Here you will also find GOKids housing our daycare as well as before and after care programs.
There are three sets of doors. You will enter at the middle set of doors for Riverside Christian Academy. You will need a code provided to you by RCA in order to enter.
Always bring your child inside the building and walk them to their classrooms.
Students are to turn in their devices to the teacher every morning and will not receive them until the end of the day.
HAVING A CELL PHONE ON CAMPUS IS A PRIVILEGE THAT CAN BE REVOKED AT ANY TIME. The cell phone policy is necessary to ensure safety and reduce distractions from the educational process. The school reserves the right to inspect a phone if it believes the phone is being used in violation of school policy (e.g., texting during class, sending inappropriate pictures, cyber-harassment, sexting, cheating, etc.).
All students at RCA are asked to bring a ready to eat lunch everyday. This helps us keep costs down and spend more quality time educating your child.
A refrigerator and microwave are available for your convenience.
We have a keypad entry at all entry points for our school to protect the safety of our students.
RCA may close in the event of inclement weather or threat of inclement weather. We take other school closures into consideration when making our decision. An alert via Brightwheel will notify you of any school closings. Delayed opening or early dismissal release times are also possible. In the event of inclement weather, parents are encouraged to make the best decision for their family's safety
Anyone experiencing symptoms of illness must stay home. He/she must be symptom-free for 48 hours without the aid of medication before returning.
Symptoms include, but are not limited to:
Fever (99.9 or higher)
Sore throat
Runny/Stuffy nose
Cough
Congestion
Upset stomach
Vomit or diarrhea
Aching muscles (without reason)
Headache
Students who arrive at school with any of these symptoms must return home immediately unless a doctor’s note is provided stating that the symptoms are not contagious.
Please ensure that you are assessing your child(ren)’s health each morning before leaving your home. If your child requires medication for visible symptoms, or if there is any question, please err on the side of caution and keep your child home.
Field trips are scheduled approximately once a month. Field Trip permission slips must be signed before any child may attend. Field trips are a privilege, and privileges may be revoked as a consequence of negative behavior
Yes, uniforms are required and are a standard at RCA. There may be certain special non uniform days throughout the school year which will be communicated to students and parents.

The student to teacher ratio at Riverside Christian Academy is 15:1.
