Are uniforms required?
Yes, uniforms are required and are a standard at RCA. There may be certain special non uniform days throughout the school year which will be communicated to students and parents.Please review our Uniform Guideline for full details.
What is Riverside Christian Academy’s policy on cell phone usage during school hours?
At Riverside Christian Academy, having a cell phone on campus is considered a privilege that can be revoked at any time.
Is there a dress code?

Where do I drop off and pick up my child?
Always bring your child inside the building and walk them to their classrooms.
How will I be notified of school closures?
In the event of inclement weather or other emergencies, we will notify parents of school closures through the Brightwheel app. Delayed openings or early dismissals may also occur. We encourage families to prioritize safety when making decisions during such times.
Do you have a handbook?
Yes, RCA does have a handbook. You will be able to view our Handbook on the Admissions page linked here.
How often do you have recess?
We have recess daily. Students Pre-k through 6th grade will have a minimum of 60 minutes recess through the day. 7th grate and up will have 30 minutes. These are normally broken up into two recesses, one in the morning and one after lunch. On occasion, additional recesses and outside time will take place as time permits.
How do you communicate with parents?
We use Brightwheel for attendance, grades, behavior reports, announcements, and parent communication.
How do you handle bullying?
Riverside Christian Academy has a zero-tolerance approach to bullying. All reports are investigated promptly, and appropriate disciplinary action is taken when necessary.
Are field trips offered?
Yes. Students typically participate in approximately one field trip each month. Signed permission forms are required prior to students participating at each field trip.
What is the student-to-teacher ratio at Riverside Christian Academy, and how does it benefit students’ learning experience?
Riverside Christian Academy maintains a 15:1 student-to-teacher ratio, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention within a nurturing, faith-based environment. This smaller class size allows teachers to tailor instruction to individual learning styles, foster meaningful relationships, and provide timely academic support.
Do students need to bring their own lunch?
Yes. RCA students bring a packed, ready-to-eat lunch each day. Limited microwave space is available for heating lunches. Water refill stations are available throughout the school for students to refill their water bottles.
Are uniforms required on field trips?
Yes. School uniforms are required for field trips unless otherwise communicated by the school. This helps students represent RCA with a neat, unified appearance and makes it easier for staff to identify students while away from campus.
Where can I purchase RCA uniforms?
RCA does not require families to purchase uniforms from a particular provider. You may purchase your child’s uniforms from the retailer of your choice, as long as they meet RCA’s uniform guidelines.
