At Riverside Christian Academy, we believe every child learns differently. That's why we use a combination of Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) and Christian Light Education (CLE)—two proven, Bible-based curricula that allow students to grow academically while developing strong Christian character.

​Individualized Learning

One of the greatest strengths of our program is that students learn at their own pace. Rather than moving through lessons simply because the calendar says it's time, students are encouraged to fully understand each concept before advancing. This approach helps build confidence, reduces frustration, and allows both struggling learners and advanced students to experience success.

A Strong Academic Foundation

Students receive instruction in all core subjects, including:

How Our Curriculum Works

​Accelerated Christian Education (ACE)
ACE uses self-paced learning booklets called PACEs (Packets of Accelerated Christian Education). Students complete 12 PACEs in each subject during the school year. The ACE program encourages students to:

• Set daily learning goals

• Develop personal responsibility

• Build strong study habits

• Become independent learners

• Master concepts before moving forward

 
Christian Light Education (CLE)
Christian Light Education uses workbook-style LightUnits, with students completing 10 units in each subject during the school year.
CLE emphasizes:

• Clear, step-by-step instruction

• Regular review and reinforcement

• Strong reading and language development

• Practical application of Biblical values

 
Together, ACE and CLE provide a balanced educational experience that supports academic excellence while nurturing spiritual growth.

Measuring Student Success

Students complete regular quizzes and tests throughout the year to ensure they have mastered each concept before advancing. Teachers carefully monitor progress and provide additional instruction whenever needed.
 
Our goal is not simply to finish lessons, but to ensure every student truly understands what they are learning.
 

Grading Policy

RCA maintains high academic standards because we believe students should demonstrate mastery of the material.

Grade Scale:

• A: 94–100%

• B: 88–93%

• C: 80–87%

Students are expected to maintain a minimum grade of 80%.
 
If a student scores below 80% on a test, the teacher may allow the student to review the material, correct mistakes, and retake the assessment. When this opportunity is provided, the average of the original and retake scores becomes the student's final grade. This option may be granted once per test at the teacher's discretion.​
